Barolo Socagna from Cravanzolla is a traditional and refined expression of Nebbiolo, grown on the hillsides of the Barolo DOCG appellation in Piedmont. The wine is matured in large oak barrels for at least 24 months, which brings out complex aromas of dried roses, cherry, tar, leather, and spices.
On the palate, it is full-bodied, structured, and elegant, with firm but well-integrated tannins and lively acidity. The finish is long, persistent, and layered, making it a wine that improves beautifully with age. It is best enjoyed with robust dishes such as braised meats, truffle pasta, wild game, or mature cheeses.
Serve at 18°C, preferably decanted for an hour before drinking. This is a serious wine for aging or special meals.
