This Pouilly-Fuissé Vieilles Vignes from Alain Corcia is made from old Chardonnay vines that deliver concentrated and complex wines. Grown on limestone and marl soils typical of the Mâconnais, the grapes benefit from excellent drainage and sun exposure, resulting in expressive and balanced wines.
The wine is traditionally vinified, with fermentation partly in oak barrels and partly in stainless steel to combine freshness with roundness. Aging on fine lees enhances texture and brings out elegant notes of white flowers, citrus, ripe stone fruits, and light toasted aromas.
On the palate, it is rich and silky, with vibrant acidity and a persistent mineral finish. The old vines lend depth and a subtle creaminess that reflects the terroir and maturity of the vines.
Serve at 10–12°C. Perfect with grilled fish, roasted poultry, creamy pasta dishes, or soft cheeses. While enjoyable young, it can age gracefully for 3–5 years.
